More amazing ANZAC projects.

Well done Hayley and Meg for all the extra effort you also have done for the 100 commemorations of WWI.
We will take these down with us to the War Memorial today. You all have shown great respect by the  thought and care you have put into your work.

Look who read to us today!

Thanks Bella for reading to us in the library today. Your story reading skills are marvellous. We want to be able to read like you one day. Please come back and read to us again!

That jolly tricky short 'u' sound

See if you can help Blue bookworms to find more words that have this 'u' sound in them.

ANZAC biscuit porridge?

Yes, that's right! Thanks to Ruby for finding out about what the soldiers did with their ANZAC biscuits sent from home.   We thought it would be a great ideas to try making it ourselves.

So Hayley's family made the ANZAC biscuits (big thanks to you guys too) and after we had tasted them we then crumbled them like the soldiers did. We added water to the mix and heated the 'porridge' up in a pot! No wonder the soldiers did this as the porridge was so yum that we went back for 2nds and 3rds!!

Jamie shares his browsing book.

What great expression you used Jamie when you read your book called 'Off went the light'.

ANZAC special holiday projects

Look at the amazing projects that these Fantastic Ferns have shared with us. Ruby and Daniel made a model, Ben brought a poem and pictures and Millie made a poster and brought enough poppies for the whole class! Thanks for all the information. We have lots to work with.
